18 year old Siobhan Randall from Bedfordshire and a boarder at St George's School Harpenden is the school's second sixth former to win a coveted Prime Minister's Global Fellowship Award to study in Brazil.

A new generation of residents has arrived at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School. The school's flock of Dorking hens has produced three lively chicks and pupils have been helping to care for them. Primary school pupils in Lancashire dressed up Japanese-style at a masterclass on Japan held recently at Lancaster Royal Grammar School. Four Lancaster Royal Grammar School pupils proved their mastery of knowledge as they beat some of the UK's top independent schools recently in the national Senior Schools Challenge Quiz.

Sussex astronaut and former Cranbrook School pupil Piers Sellers is scheduled to take part in another NASA space mission on May 14th. This time he is taking with him into space an original watercolour painting of the school painted by Buxted artist Brenda Barratt.

The under 13 and under 14 sides from Wymondham College travelled to Disneyland Paris during the Easter holidays to take part in an international Rugby tournament and were given expert coaching by former England scrum half Andy Gomarsall.

Jacob Kelly, a pupil at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School has passed an audition to join the National Youth Choir, and is now the youngest member of the Choir. The audition included singing two pieces of music with an accompanist and a music sight-reading test. The talented 9 year old was delighted when he heard that he had been accepted into the choir.
