Steyning Sixth Form Conference

The annual Sixth Form Conference was held on Friday 20th March for 270 year twelve students and a small selection of KS4 students.

The conference began with a warm up session for the students, getting them to join in a range of activities designed to encourage them to speak into radio microphones, and to get used to the sound of their own voices in a large venue.

GB Hockey Olympian returns to Grammar School

GB Hockey Olympian Jon Wyatt returned to his alma mater The Royal Grammar School High Wycombe (RGS) on Friday 27 February to launch an ambitious £1m fundraising campaign for urgent renovations and new facilities.

Boarding Orchard Bears Fruit

Lancaster Royal Grammar School is one of the latest schools to join the Boarding Orchard, a nationwide project run by the Boarding Schools' Association. 'Dinosaur Man' celebrated at LRGS

The eminent Lancastrian and 'Dinosaur Man' Sir Richard Owen was celebrated at the unveiling of a blue plaque at Lancaster Royal Grammar School recently.

Shedding light on particle physics

School nurse saves a life

Less than two weeks ago, school nurse, Sue Phongsathorn attended a refresher training course on how to use a defibrillator. On Friday she was called to an emergency where she had to use the skills she had learned on the course. In doing so, she saved the life of a child who had collapsed during a football match.
